Frequently asked questions
If something isn't here, ask on Discord.
What do I get with my registration?
Whitelist access to the closed beta, plus access to our servers and skin system.
Do I need a Steam account?
Yes — the CSGO legacy build launches through Steam. Without one, you can't connect.
Do I need to buy CSGO?
No — CS:GO is free on Steam (now called Counter-Strike 2), and the `csgo_legacy` beta branch is freely available.
What do skins drop for?
Skins land in your in-app inventory — via end-of-match drops, level-up rewards, and case openings. They never transfer to your Steam inventory.
How does the drop system work?
Each match-end has a 20% chance for a random Case. Every level-up: 1 fixed Case + 1 guaranteed skin. There is a weekly cap to keep things sane.
Is there VAC ban risk?
No. Our servers run in `-insecure` mode, so VAC is not active. We do not recommend using our launcher-side mods on official Valve servers.
Is Discord required?
In I0, the Discord username is required at signup. Later (I3+) full OAuth bind will be added.
When does my account get approved?
In I0, automatic — every new registration is active immediately. Later iterations introduce manual admin review.
Can I cash out my skins?
No. Closed ecosystem — skins only trade inside the in-app marketplace (coming in V2) for site currency.
Mac/Linux support?
The launcher is Windows-only (Win10+ x64). Mac/Linux are not on the roadmap right now.
